(Nov 1999)
The text below has been taken directly from the Big Draw 2000 Playslip which is freely available from National Lottery retailers. HOW TO PLAY THE NATIONAL LOTTERY BIG DRAW 2000
- Each play slip allows you to play up to 2 entries at £5.00 per entry.
- From an entry select six years from the years 1900-1999, by placing a heavy vertical mark in each chosen year box. If you wish to use a Lucky Dip on an entry, place a heavy vertical line in the 'Lucky Dip' box on that entry. DO NOT use red ink. If you make a mistake, mark the VOID box and use another entry. DO NOT ERASE.
- You will receive a ticket from the Lottery Terminal which will, for each entry played, show a 6-year selection under Game 1 and a randomly-allocated 2-year selection under Game 2 (see below). You are responsible for checking your Game 1 draw years and the number of selections on your ticket before you leave the retailer to ensure they are correct.
HOW TO WIN
- In the Game 1 draw, there will be a random drawing of five years ('Main Years') and a further year ('Bonus Year') all from the years 1900 - 1999.
- If in one of your Game 1 six-year selections on your ticket:
- two of your six years match, in any order, two Main Years, you win an estimated £40
- three of your six years match, in any order, two Main Years plus the Bonus Year, you win an estimated £100
- three of your six years match, in any order, three Main Years, you win an estimated £150
- four of your six years match, in any order, three Main Years plus the Bonus Year, you win an estimated £1500
- four of your six years match, in any order, four Main Years, you win an estimated £2000
- five of your six years match, in any order, four Main Years plus the Bonus Year, you win an estimated £100,000
- five of your six years match, in any order, five Main Years, you win an estimated £5 million
- NB The above prize amounts are estimates only. The exact value of prizes depends on how many tickets are sold, how many people match the same number of years as you and how many prizes are won in Game 2.
- In the Game 2 draw, there will be a random drawing of one year representing the last Millennium (1000 - 1999) and one year representing the next Millennium (2000 - 2999)
- If your Game 2 two-year selection matches the Game 2 years drawn, then you win a guaranteed £1 million.
